Finally I have uploaded so pics of the fabulous gifts sent from my mama for my birthday. I takes forever for me to do this, I really need to come up with a better system if I want to keep up with this journal at all. My scanner is all fucked up so I don’t have images for everything but here’s the majority.First is this really cool book of patterns for knitted & felted purses:

See that green one in the bottom left corner? She got the yarn to make that!

Real wool too!
This this bag of Mill Ends. I think that it is Lion Brand Homespun.

The whole bag was only 5 bucks so I asked her to pick me up a couple more skeins of the red so that I can make the sweater on the front of the summer knit.1 that I have been drooling over. You may remeber that I started this one with the black yarn that I recycled but I have since given up on that one because I just wasn’t happy with how it was turning out. Lastly ther was another pattern book, a cool knit with fabric purse kit, and a whole bunch of tools, including a pair of clover bamboo needles:

Thanks so much mama! Such a fun gift to open. Love ya!

title or description
I won this wonderful yarn from Mystical Creations Yarns. It is a worsted weight Beaded Cotton Rayon blend which promises the appropriate gauge. I am so excited to see what this yarn is like in real life. I’ve been coveting it online for sooo long. Yippee! I’m going to jump on the bandwagon and knit the wonderous clapotis with it. I’m too excited. It’s about time for me to get some nice yarn and make something nice for myself. Right? I always feel guilty about doing things for myself and try to give everything I make away. I do this because: 1. I don’t feel lazy being knitty or crafty if it is for someone else, I feel generous, and 2. My house is nothing if not cluttered. I have way to much useless shit sqeezed into every corner. Don’t get me wrong. I only have things that I absolutely adore in my house (except for that damn painful, cat fur infested futon of mine) but I have to draw line on my clutter somewhere. I could stop buying yarn & beads and actually get rid of all other crafty notions throughout my house but then what would I do with my hands in the evenings as I watch TV. Clean?
